PREFÁCIOS DE LIVROS DIDÁTICOS DE MATEMÁTICA: UMA POSSÍVEL LEITURA DA HISTÓRIA DA MATEMÁTICA ESCOLAR NO BRASIL (1943-1995)
Resumen
O presente trabalho é resultado parcial da pesquisa Livro didático de matemática: Uma abordagem histórica (1943 – 1995), apresentada como dissertação de mestrado na Fae/UFPEL. A pesquisa utiliza como metodologia a análise documental, considerando como documentos livros didáticos das quatro séries finais do atual ensino fundamental, do período de 1943 até 1995. Entre os objetivos da pesquisa estão: o resgate das diferentes matemáticas presentes nos livros didáticos, a compreensão da trajetória da Matemática enquanto disciplina escolar no ensino fundamental e, ainda, verificar quais mudanças e permanências no ensino da matemática pode se identificar nos livros didáticos. Para atender aos objetivos propostos na dissertação, considerou-se como primeiro objeto de análise os prefácios dos livros didáticos selecionados. O texto aqui apresentado procura elaborar uma possível leitura da história da Matemática escolar no Brasil, a partir dos prefácios encontrados, relacionando esses textos a fatos da história da Matemática enquanto disciplina escolar.

Summary
The present work is resulted partially of the research Mathematics text book: A historical approach (1943 - 1995), it was presented as master's degree dissertation in Fae/UFPEL. The research used as methodology the documental analysis, considering as documents text books of the four final series of the current fundamental teaching, of the period of 1943 up to 1995. Among the objectives of the research they are: the recover of the different mathematics present in the text books, the understanding of the path of the Mathematics while it disciplines school in the fundamental teaching and, still, to verify which changes and permanences in the teaching of the mathematics can identify in the text books.
To assist to the objectives proposed in the dissertation, it was considered as first analysis object the forewords of the selected text books. The text here presented tries to elaborate a possible reading of the history of the school Mathematics in Brazil, starting from the found forewords, relating those texts to facts of the history of the Mathematics while it school disciplines.
